Systems Engineer – Altair Unlimited

Job Summary:
As part of the Altair Unlimited team, you will help design, build, and deliver turnkey HPC appliances (both physical and virtual) to customers around the world.
What You Will Do:
· Assist in designing and developing appliances:
- Hardware selection
- Software installation and configuration:
- Operating system (RHEL)
- Job scheduling (PBSWorks)
- CAE Solvers (HyperWorks)
- Assist in customer deployments:
- Discuss customer-specific requirements
- Manage delivery schedule
- Assist customers in acceptance testing of new systems
- 2nd-Level Customer Support
- Mostly remote work, but some travel may be required (<10%)
What You Will Need:
Basics:
· Linux system administration skills
· Python programming skills
· Workload management (PBS Professional preferred)
Preferred:
· RedHat Enterprise Linux experience
· Experience with one or more public cloud services (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, etc.)
· Warewulf experience
· Dell hardware experience
· Experience installing CAE software, including:
- HyperWorks
- LS-Dyna
- Ansys
- Etc.
