Position Overview:

The Retail Branch Accountant is a vital role in our financial team, primarily accountable for supporting the Lead Accountant in managing and streamlining our financial operations. This position requires a meticulous approach to detail, robust organizational skills, and the aptitude to operate both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in compiling comprehensive financial statements and reports.

- Register and monitor financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and consistency in our accounting software.

- Perform routine reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.

- Prepare journal entries and maintain an accurate, up-to-date general ledger.

- Provide support during internal and external audits.

- Ensure accurate record-keeping and file management.

- Undertake additional accounting tasks and responsibilities as required, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the role.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Deep understanding of accounting principles and best practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with contemporary accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders effectively.

- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team setting.

- Uncompromising attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the retail sector, is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Rs40,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
