MidCoast Assist is an Ageing and Disability support service of MidCoast Council that is dedicated to delivering high quality support services to the elderly, people living with a disability and their carer's. The role and youWe are looking for experienced people with a passion for supporting older people, ideally with experience in providing aged care supports within the community.
Working within our Customised Care team this position is responsible for the delivery of quality client-centred personal care and direct care support services to older people and people living with dementia. The Customised Care team delivers consumer directed care for older people under the Home Care Packages Program.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Certificate III in Aged Care / AIN qualifications or related
- A passion for supporting people to achieve their goals
- Experience in an Aged Care / Nursing Assistant role
- Commitment to client-centred service delivery
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- First aid certificate
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Current Class C Drivers licence

- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Criminal Record Check.
You will be required to use your privately owned vehicle as part of this position, with business usage being reimbursed in line with the Local Government (State) Award.
Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Assist office located at 4 Breese Parade, Forster. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
The package: $35.63 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus superannuation.
Tenure: Casual
