HR and Recruitment Specialist [Portugal]


 

Education and/or Experience

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources in Portugal
  • Practical experience in recruitment for a fast-moving business is highly valued. Preference with a recruiting background within the BPO/RPO or Shared Services industry.
  • Experience hiring candidates from different nationalities is desirable.
  • Ability to work with a remote team and international environment.
  • High degree of autonomy and flexibility to work on several types of tasks.
  • Hands-on, collaborative, but able to recommend decisions about HR matters.
  • Flexible working hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Salary Administration

  • Update and validate information needed for salary processing.
  • Update and control assiduity and vacation map and procedures
  • Validate salary processing information on a monthly basis.

Recruitment & Hiring

  • Determine candidate requirement/s by reviewing and understanding the job description.
  • Ensure demand fulfillment and delivery of the candidates for the assigned requisitions within the set SLA.
  • Maintain relationships with internal clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved.
  • Set expectations regarding hiring timelines and deliverables key tasks and recommend hiring flexes as needed. Provide status updates regularly regarding candidates, feedback, approvals, etc.
  • Participate in calls/meetings to align recruitment requirements.
  • Participate in lead generation activities and promote the organization through
  • various sourcing channels (i.e. job fairs, online advertising tools, referrals, and recruiting events)
  • Coordinate and maintain systems and procedures on recruitment, selection, hiring, placement, onboarding, and transfer
  • Develop, recommend, and administer the recruitment, selection, contact, and placement process to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate in elaborating Contracts, and update HR Portal and Onboarding materials.
  • Work with candidates and other stakeholders to promptly get the necessary information and documentation for the Contract, considering the legal needs.
  • Work with the HR and internal teams on salary calibration.

Training

  • Assume the Onboarding ownership and integrate key stakeholders in the process.
  • Periodically review training needs in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report training completion against targets.
  • Compliance, Reporting & HR Procedures
  • Implement compliance procedures, with a particular focus on GDPR.
  • Produce reports related to the HR function
  • Set up simple processes and procedures that are adequate to the company’s size and culture.
  • Put together clear information about HR, including critical legislation, and internal procedures.

Other

  • Keep up with Portuguese work legislation.
  • Active and hands-on collaboration on HR-related projects, including (but not restrictive) the implementation of new tools, employee surveys, performance appraisals.
  • In addition, other clerical and administrative duties, as required, are to be expected.

Key Skills

  • Knowledge of office-related documentation tools
  • Knowledge of online career/ resume products.
  • Understanding of Portuguese legal framework for HR and recruitment
  • Knowledge of GDPR, with a focus on human resources
